Available Terrain Elevation Databases for V-Soft Communications Products:

    3 arc-second Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM - Feb, 2000) terrain elevation databases for the world from 56 degrees South Latitude to 60 degrees North Latitude. Data includes Canada, U.S.A., Mexico, Caribbean, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand and much of Asia and Europe. (Breakouts for specific countries or smaller areas are available upon request. )

30 second GLOBE terrain - This data set was developed by National Geophysical Data Center, NESDIS, NOAA, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. The objective was to create the best available 30-arc-second global digital elevation data set based on data from existing data sets. The GLOBE terrain database contains data from 11 sources, and 17 combinations of source and lineage. It was developed during the 1990's and was released in 1999. This is the same database that is found on the FCC web site for calculating domestic U.S. HAAT.

30 Second World Terrain 30 second, in world quadrants on CD ROM, NE, NW, SE, SW. Each quadrant covers approximately 1/4 of the Earth's land area.

30 Second US NGDC - compressed to 51.5 Megabytes

30 Second FCC US NGDC. This is the actual FCC database compressed to 8 Megabytes. Use this for speed and results and best agreement with the Media Branch programs. Includes continental U.S. and Hawaii

30 Second Caribbean NGDC - compressed to 5.3 Megabytes

30 Second Hawaiian Terrain - compressed to 1.25 Megabytes
